Greve in Chianti
Cellars
In the historical Wine Cellar of Greve in Chianti we have built a
modern wine shop where you can taste the best wines selected from
the Tuscan wine production. Wine can be bought in bottles (even through
mail orders) or simply tasted. The walls of the main hall are covered
with shelves where wine bottles are exposed, while in the centre of
the hall there is a counter where you can taste pork products and
local cheeses. At this counter visitors can buy a special magnetic
card, similar to phone cards, and by scanning it through special scanners
placed near the single shelves, they can decide to taste whichever
wine they wish, together with pork products, figs, melon, cheese,
etc. (according to the season). The cost of each tasting varies from
wine to wine and it is automatically taken off the card, and if, by
the end of the visit, the total value of the card hasn't been used
up, the visitor can cash the remaining value at the counter.
Panzanello Farm
The quality of the wine and oil produced at the Panzanello farm, which
was then property of Franciescho di Ugolini Ciucci, was already described
and extolled in the historical land registry of Florence in 1427.
Today, a young farmer has decided to follow the example of old Franciescho,
devoting himself full- time to the transformation of Panzanello's
products. In a dedicated and professional manner, his greatest ambition
is to satisfy the demands of a discriminating clientele with a taste
and knowledge of wine. For this reason we pay ever more attention
to the quality of our products, and starting with the harvest of 1998
we were able to complete our cycle of conversion to an officially
recognized Biological Farm. The farm covers 64 hectars of land, of
which 24 are planted with vines and olives. Like many, we too produce
wine , but in contrast to some others, we don't like to send away
our customers with a simple thanks and goodbye. Our wish is to listen,
understand, talk, inform and make suggestions, and these are the terms
that we use most frequently in our work.
Terre di Melazzano
Farm
The farm "Terre di Melazzano" , whose name is part of the chiantishire,
is to be found spread out on a hill which leads to Monte San Michele
(950 mt above sea level) yet the estate is just a kilometre from the
town centre. The farm is continuously searching for new varieties
and new cultivation methods, and in the cellar with the radical modernization
of the rooms and equipment. Terre di Melazzano Estate also offers
Farmhouse holidays with hospitality in four independent apartments
(sleeping a total of 13 guests). As well as a swimming pool with spacious
garden area surrounding it and a sun terrace from which you can take
in the breathtaking landscape over our vineyards and the Greve Valley,
you can also hire Mountain Bikes for daily outings along the historical
itineraries of the Chianti Classico.

of traditional winemaking.Essentially the business produces the following

San Lorenzo (igt), Grappa, Brandy, Amaro di San Lorenzo, aged Vinsanto,

Villa Buonasera
Farm
I'm the proud owner of the farmhouse "Villa Buonasera" since a few
years. Chiantishire is, in my opinion, the most beautiful place in
the world and I'm glad to be able to let other visitors discover Tuscany
from its most beautiful side. In the typical three houses' group you
can find seven apartmeents from 30 to 65 square meters, from two to
five beds. All the apartments have their own entrance, garden or private
loggia. These apartments are fully equipped with bed linen, kitchen
and colour TV. Guests can take advantage of a big garden with swimming
pool, ping pong, barbeque and a kindergarten. Tennis courts, Golf
courts, and riding schools are available in the surroundings. The
farm produce also Chianti classico wine, one of the most famous Italian
wines, unique and inimitable. Villa Buonasera is located in the middle
of a 8 hectares vineyard, that supplies the raw material for this
high class wine. The old traditions, joined together the most modern
techniques, allowed to produce a wide range of different wines, under
the control of two famous oenologists: Vittorio e Jurij Fiore.
Villa Calcinaia
Farm
Our wine is produced from the vineyards on the hills with the best
exposition in the estate owned by the Conti Capponi near Greve in
Chianti. The select grapes of the traditional red Chianti variety
are hand-picked from the vineyards on the summer between mid-September
and the beginning of October, and fermented in stainless-steel tanks
for the production of Chianti Classico. We provide also 2 farmstays:
"S. Pierino" e "Le Refie".San Pierino is an historical
Tuscan hamlet set in the estate of Villa Calcinaia and surronded by
170 hectars of land that include woods, vineyards, and olive groves.
The estate is located in the very heart of the Chianti. The two apartments,
newly renovated, are part of the former vicariage adjoining the ancient
church of San Piero al Pino of the 13th century. Le Refie is a typical
Tuscan farmhouse, located right in the heart of Chianti, in a peaceful
area at an altitude of 650 m., below chestnut-tree woods, criss-crossed
by picturesque foot-paths. It is easy to reach from the road and not
too far from Florence , Siena and the towns of Greve and Figline.
The house is near the natural parks of San Michele and Cavriglia ,
while daily shopping may be done at the nearby village of Lucolena.
Villa Collegalle
Farm
Villa Collegalle was recently acquired by the Cappelli family (the
latest in a long line of illustrious owners, including the Conti Marzichi
Lenzi and the Marchesa Ilaria Antinori) which, since 1730, has been
one of the most renowned wine producing families in the Chianti Classico
region. The Cappellis were the first family to create an 'agriturismo'
and a typical Tuscan trattoria directly in their own farmhouse as
well as setting up the first 'balsameria' (for making balsamic vinegar)
in Tuscany. They were also responsible for the re-launching of Vin
Santo. The vast vaulted wine cellars are under the Villa itself and
house the Cappelli family's collection of their own wine. At present
the vineyard produces: Best quality Red wine, White wine, Extra virgin
olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, the speciality of the house, aged in
precious wood barrels for up to 30 years. (It is possible to visit

Vignamaggio is a wine estate in Chianti known for its beautiful renaissance
villa, its delicious wines, for being the birthplace of Monna Lisa
and, last but not least, for an outstanding agriturism which is positioned
at the high end of the hospitality in the area. The agriturism consists
of doublerooms, suites and apartments situated in two old farmhouses
which have been carefully and tastefully restored and furnished and
which are complemented with outdoor facilities such as a tennis court,
two swimming pools, mountain bikes and a children playground. All
rooms have modern bathroom facilities, direct outside phone line and
frigobar. The service is as accurate as that of a four star hotel.

two farmhouses. The personnel is fluent in English, French and German.
There are several events taking place during the summer in the Chianti
region which can be attended by our guests; furthermore, we organize
